Student volunteers must be between 13 and 18 years old and agree to a minimum 6 month term. Volunteers serve as student attorneys, jury members, and court clerks. Each year scholarships are awarded to two senior student attorneys.

Volunteers serve about once a month on a Monday night from 4:45pm to 7:30pm.

We train each new attorney until they feel comfortable serving as prosecuting and/or defense attorneys. Cases usually cover theft, alcohol, drug, and assault charges.

Student attorneys hold annual fundraisers and meetings and help promote the Teen Court program by attending volunteer fairs, school functions, City Council meetings, and other City related functions.
